Grass verge needs cut

Reported via desktop in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 18:50, Friday 18 August 2023

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4906026.

It's not 'biodiverse', it's an unsightly mess with weeds spilling over onto the pavement & seeding the surrounding street gutters as a bonus.

And the still blocked off Burgh Hall surrounds are now thick with weeds, spreading along the street.

  • Council send down man & van to ‘inspect’ overgrown grass verge. Took 1 quick photo at a single (relatively presentable) section on a *very* long stretch, ignoring the worst sections. Back in van idling for 10 mins (very green) presumed writing up a report declaring ‘no issue here’. Drove off.

Seen this 'drive-by' inspection farce before (grass, roads, etc). Almost as if the council are looking for justification for continued neglect rather than make a balanced record of the reality & tackle any issues. Surely not?
