No maintenance

Reported by James Parker at 10:45, Tue 17 June 2014

Sent to North Yorkshire County Council and Richmondshire District Council 5 minutes later

Dangerous overgrowth across footpath.

Council Tenants at number 24 Norman Square with overgrown Conifers restricting access to my property adjacent to the Ghyll and properties from 17-24 to their back gardens.

Conifers also block the street lighting from doing what it was designed for 'helping you see in the dark'

Thistles and nettles face height of my young children when they walk with me to school. A general lack of care of the area including roads, footpaths, play area (who they get volunteers to fix from a church) and class discrimination. Money is spent fixing and re-surfacing the roads at Whitefields, Olav Road/Alexandra Way and everywhere else in the Town when our area is looking a mess.

There is no excuse for the under investment of our area it is basic snobbery from members of the Council and class discrimination as one of many home owners (including Council Tenants) of a an ex local authority house I want my area to be clean and tidy and of smart cared for appearance.

Its now time for change!

  • A lot of talking but very little action as seems to be the case permanently when dealing with such an out of touch institution.

  • NO MONEY GETS SPENT BY RICHMOND DISTRICT, NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL & NO RESPONSIBILITY IS TAKEN BY THE COUNCIL TO MAKE SURE 'SOME OF THEIR TENANTS' RUIN THE AREA FOR EVERYONE ELSE... Nowhere in Richmond North Yorkshire has such poor investment other than Local Authority areas. Since 17 June nothing has been done. Virtually every penny of Council Tax paid by Cutpurse residents is spent outside of their area... CLASS DISCRIMINATION
