Violent and strange pothole
Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 23:10, Tue 15 August 2023
Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4896144.
20, Railway Road, Downham Market. Almost on the centreline of the road at this location is an easily-missed but violent pot hole that is not so much a pot hole as a small but deep depression in the road surface. There was a long-term leak from a water main here previously which may have washed away some of the sub soil. Whatever the cause, this defect needs attention.

The usual disinterested and dismissive response from NCC Highways, an organisation that seems to resent being asked to do its job:

Still there but seems to be getting worse, which is hardly surprising.
