Japanese Knotweed

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4879963.

Various outbreaks of knotweed on the edge of the pavement on the approach to the pedestrian crossing

  • Clearly no action taken. This was also reported a year ago and knotweed requires a program of continued treatment. There was was one treatment applied and nothing further. It’s about 3 foot high again and growing out of a drain. Would be far cheaper to treat the knotweed than have to dig out and replace the drains.

  • It appears to have recently been treated from the browning of the leaves but the problem cannot be regarded as fixed yet as multiple treatments are necessary to eradicate knotweed
