Tree branches blocking ‘give way’ sign at dangerous junction

Reported via iOS in the Low tree branches category anonymously at 09:07, Mon 7 August 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4864858.

The branches from the trees along the boundary are hanging over the pavement making it impossible to walk without crouching. Particularly hard when walking a large dog or pushing prams. Most concerning is that they completely block the ‘give way’ sign for traffic approaching the dangerous junction with the A4018, where oncoming traffic is hard to see u til the last second because of the steer incline and traffic accelerating to get uk the hill. This is a serious risk for anyone that doesn’t know the road well. Please cut these branches back urgently.

  • No action taken as yet, situation made worse by the road closure ahead signs now in place for September - which further distracts from the ’give way’ sign. Around the corner, the ‘school’ sign is also completely obstructed from view.
