Because there’s nothing currently to stop them, drivers park their car / van here, right on a 90 degree bend. Drivers coming down Bushy Mead are forced on to the right hand side of the road, often into the path of traffic coming from the left. A few metres of double yellows would resolve this problem (the cars parked there are not always the same and other spaces are available - it’s hard to know why they’d park there).
