Multiple black bags at street bin (again)

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping category anonymously at 07:50, Saturday 5 August 2023

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4860595.

This, along with endless other such bins across the city, have been fly tipping magnets since they were first introduced. You know that and yet still have no remedial solution instead just the continuing, unbroken, cycle of (public) reporting > uplift > repeat. This is as ineffective as it is time-consuming costly.

Given that the new trial 'bin hubs' have warnings on them against such flytipping, you have clearly - at last - recognised this issue. So why haven't you introduced similar warning stickers on all existing 'Litter & Dog Waste' hot spot bins? Because it would be an admission of managerial failure? Because it doesn't sit well with the misguided, touchy-feely, wishful thinking of the 'People Make Glasgow -Cleaner' inane sloganeering?

So, please stop faffing about. Please admit this obvious failing at last and try to do something about it. Of course it won't work in all cases but that's no reason not to try and, like those FlyWatch posters, it *will* help. Thanks.
