Treetop Close is a private road - so the council is not responsible for maintaining the road or the street lights. This does not make sense to me as the road is used by many people with cars on the opposite side to our flats who park their cars in their garages and back gardens which are also on Treetop Close. The council should take over the maintenance of this road.

Still open, via questionnaire -
An electrician has visited Treetops Close to look at the streetlight problem and believes that the first 3 lights in the road are council property. Please would a representative from the council visit the road to investigate the ongoing issue? "It looks like the 3 lampposts at the entrance to treetops aren’t supplied via any building on this road. The cable type used is typically used for a council run road and doesn’t match any of the existing cables in the block’s installation. It’s also possible that these lights haven’t worked for a long time. As one of the posts is letting in water and another hasn’t got a light on top and the other one is completely mouldy. It is also possible that these lampposts predate the blocks as there is a row of garages at the entrance to treetops and prior to the block being build might have been solely for the use of the garage tenants. "
PLEASE WOULD LUTON BOROUGH COUNCIL VISIT AND INVESTIGATE, ESPECIALLY AS WINTER IS DRAWING NEAR AND THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR THE RESIDENTS
