Broken fence struts -

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 23:21, Wed 4 June 2014

Sent to Halton Borough Council 3 minutes later

Several of the horizontal struts of the fence opposite my house (6 Old Upton lane) are broken. The broken wooden struts have jagged edges that could cause a serious injury to a passing small child. I have reported this problem in the past but no action has been taken. I do not own the piece of land opposite my house, the council cuts the grass on both sides of the fence so I presume it is the councils responsibilty to fix the damage.

  • The problem is still not fixed. I've been told that the open spaces department is dealing with the issue but I've emailed them twice to jog their memories and still nothing!!!

  • The council finally rang me two weeks ago! They did send a truck load of men out to look at the fence but nothing was done on the day or since then!
