Traffic Light Sequence Causing Long Delays

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 10:06, Wed 26 July 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4826742.

The timing of the traffic lights at Lydiate Ash from the A491 is causing a 2 mile queue at busy times. The lights stay green for just 5 seconds. When the additional ongoing roadworks are in progress there are further delays at the lights with two lanes being coned off.

  • Traffic lights on A91, Sandy lane approaching the roundabout at junction 4 of M5 are only allowing approx 3 cars before changing to red. This problem occurred a few months ago since there were some works taking place around there. This is causing long traffic delays backing all the way down Sandy lane.
