ILLEGAL PARKING at junction at 1 midwinter avenue

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 07:41, Wed 4 June 2014

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 4 minutes later

Constant problem with cars and vans parking on the paths/right on the junction/on the pedestrian disablility ramp outside the house number 1 Midwinter avenue both from various residents and also visitors to houses in this small sub-section of midwinter avenue like this van that has been there overnight. This is not only hazardous to pedestrians but also other drivers trying to enter/leave this sub-section of Midwinter avenue, milton heights. There is also a small patch of grass verge that has now been totally destroyed by these anti-social drivers. There is also cars from visitors to a certain household that also constantly park on the path outside house opposite number 1 that block the path/junction on that side.

  • Thank you for your report. I visited Midwinter Ave. at 2.30 this afternoon. Naturally there were no vehicles parked on the path / junction at this time. In the absence of formal yellow line waiting restrictions (which are not generally provided in residential areas where the problem is caused by the residents themselves) the issue that you raise can only be dealt with by Thames Valley Police enforcing obstruction laws. Therefore I have copied your report by email to their Traffic Management Officer for the Vale District for his attention. OCC Traffic Advice & Design
