Drainage problem for ten years

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4810703.

Fortunately after a long campaign the ditch further up has been cleared. The drain that causes the road to flood has not been cleared. Why not and after it caused a car to end up in the hedge. It seems ludicrous to send a contractor out to do a quarter of a job. Please explain

  • Whoever dug out the ditch missed the important one on the opposite side of the road. As far as I know discharges into the field or ditch opposite. This is the place the water collects when we have a downpour. Like today.

  • The contractor dug out 3 drains but missed the important one on the corner. Have been told it is in hand but the hand seems a very long way away. Keeping an eye on the job though.
