I'm astonished that you can't find this, it's on a 6 foot pole! I describe it as a "repeater" because the signage 300m to the east (other side of level crossing) is far more likely to be lawfully placed but because of your confusion I strongly recommend that you consult the original LTO before taking any action. However, aut as things stand, no-one can be convicted of an excess speed offence on this stretch of road because of the unlawful signage. Once you've sorted this out you ought to liaise with the Cheshire Constabulary because any fines on convictions or FPN payments need to be refunded.
