Overgrown vegetation increasing blocking footpath

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4806388.

128 Gold Street, Wellingborough. Unsure if house is occupied or abandoned. Ongoing issue of bushes being allowed to overgrow onto public footpath making it increasing difficult for those with prams or mobility scooters.

  • The pathway is very narrow due to overgrown hedges and brambles. it is by a main road on a school route. the house it is coming from appears to be empty. it is on the corner of Gold street and Ferrestone road

  • Vegetation continues to stretch out over the path on the corner as per earlier images, and from back garden with spiky brambles. Hazard levels increasing and pushing pedestrians into the road when rounding the corner. Needs urgent attention.

  • Investigation: Ongoing (Reported to another department within NNC) - We can confirm that upon inspection the vegetation has not been cut back and we will therefore pass this to our regulations team for further action.

  • Still as bad, now on the other side of the front of the house. This appears to be an ongoing issue with not much being done.
