Sewer in Road, unbearable daily smell.

Where we live we noticed a really bad odour since early June, wafting into our home from outside and I don’t remember having this issue before. I had my sleep disturbed from the awful smell because we had our windows opened. Other neighbours have also noticed it. The smell is unbearable on hot days. I followed the smell and it led me to two man hole drains close to each other on Beaumont Lodge Road behind our house. We also live near an industrial area and i wonder if a lot of the waste comes from there into the sewer network ? There maybe a blockage happening. Please can it be investigated and sorted before it could get worse and cause problems down the line and especially the awful smell. Thank you

Council came out and checked road drains = all clear then it got reported to STWA who came later as it is likely to be a sewer issue

It dose not seem to be solved, the smell from the man hole is still potent every day when we are in the garden and some times have to close our windows. It seems to get worse when the weather gets hot or when there has been a lot of rain ? Please if it could be sorted that would be most appreciated.

I’m addressing that nothing seems to be done unless it’s in the process of being sorted. The smell is still unbearable and we can’t enjoy seating in our backyard yard. The smell goes from Benyon Road all the way down to Phillips close of Beaumont Lodge Road on hot days or when we have had a lot of rain. But the smell is still persistent where we live, when it’s not in these conditions. I hope it can be sorted soon. Thank you.
