Blocked drain, dangerous road flooding
Reported in the Roads/highways category by Mark Knight at 22:44, Mon 26 May 2014
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 478481.
I've reported this before, this time I've added a photo. This part of the BIGGLESWADE HIGH STREET (not a minor side road) regularly floods after even a short shower leading to pedestrians getting sprayed or cars swerving dangerously across the road just after a corner to avoiding splashing pedestrians. Please fix this problem permanently - this is on the busy high street. This photo was taken after a short 10 minute shower, not after hours of persistent rain. It is often much wetter and deeper.

This again occurred yesterday after a down pour and has happened several times since the original report. The problem has existed for several years with no resolution.

Thurs Jan 8th 9am. After rain, I had to cross to the other side of the road in my car to avoid the flood. This has been a problem over 30 years. Is it ever going to be fixed?

This continues to occur frequently, with water thrown up against the property. Are CBC negligent failing to address this persistent drainage issue?
