Dangerous parking on blind bend

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 12:05, Thu 13 July 2023

Sent to Fareham Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4782796.

Some houses are being built on Lodge Road and the builders have parked numerous cars right up to the right angled bend in the road. This is forcing traffic driving from Church Road towards Hunts Pond Road to drive on the wrong side of the road into a blind bend. There is an accident waiting to happen.

Updates

  • Apparently because there are no yellow lines the Highway Department cannot do anything about the situation I need to contact the Police. In the meantime I will not use the road that I live on, I make a detour because as I’ve said before, it is a blind bend and oncoming traffic is coming round the corner on the wrong side of the road and I’m not willing to take the risk of a head on collision. If a few traffic cones could be placed on the approach to the bend the problem would be solved, but I guess this would be too expensive or too much trouble.
