Bus stop on a blind corner

Reported via desktop in the Bus stops category anonymously at 17:11, Tue 11 July 2023

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4775673.

When heading down Radford Road ( from Gatwick Road) towards the Balcombe Road, there is a request bus stop on the left hand side. This road is 40 miles per hour and coming round a blind corner , after going over the railway bridge, if a bus has stopped and cars are stopped behind it, then there will be a serious collision as you cannot see the queue of traffic. I was at the back of this queue today and felt extremely unsafe when another car came at speed and had to make an emergency stop, due to being completely unable to know there was a line of traffic stuck behind a bus. This bus stop, although a request stop needs to be relocated somewhere more visible. There is a secondary school nearby (The Gatwick school) and a large housing estate, this road is a lot busier than it used to be as both of these things are recent additions.
