Playground dismantled again after campaign to reinstate

Reported via mobile in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 11:26, Tue 11 July 2023

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4773682.

Newsham Park’s adventure play area is well used by young people as one of very few youth facilities serving Tuebrook, Stoneycroft, Fairfield and Kensington.

It was left derelict by the council for several years but reinstated late in 2022 after a long campaign by residents, who engaged local MPs, councillors and two council Chief Executives.

6 months later it has again been dismantled, leaving young people without their playground at the start of the summer holidays.
