Trailer caravan causing obstruction on Waterside Road TQ4 6LJ
Reported via desktop in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 09:46, Thu 6 July 2023
Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4755818.
Torbay Council Highways served an AV notice on the trailer in the left of the attached image. It was previously located on the junction with Waterside Road. The trailer has now returned and is stored on the bend of a busy, narrow road. Because there is no footway, pedestrians and wheelchair users (there are at least two who live locally) must walk on the highway centre line to pass. Uncut vegetation on the northbound verge also obscures visibility for motor vehicles.

The unauthorised encampment remains. Torbay Council's failure to enforce Section 77 notices has encouraged other street dwellers to live on the highway.
