Bottom of claremont

Reported via mobile in the Railings, bollard, & post damage category anonymously at 18:23, Wed 5 July 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4753988.

The new parking bays are causing chaos on this road. There is no clear place to pass. The bus had to mount the pavement to let cars passed. This is extremely dangerous to pedestrians. Earlier in the day a vehicle has knocked over the post on the corner of the bottom of the road. This whole road is now totally unsuitable for anything over 3.5t and the new chicanes that have been made by the parking bays is extremely hazardous

  • The problem at the bottom of the road is made worse by vehicles parking opposite the junction. Practically every vehicle cuts the corner to turn right into Claremont Road. Vehicles coming off Claremont have to veer to the left to avoid being hit.

The parking bays and obscured views have made the road much more dangerous.
