Bridge (grade 2 listed) partly demolished in bad car accident at midnight Fri 30 Jun/Sat 1st July. Accident was attended by Thames Valley Police. Bridge dangerous to pedestrians as no side next to pavement for a little way. Looks like some of side has been shunted away from pavement and is still in danger of falling.

  • There are more cracks appearing in the bridge. With the recent heavy rain and the HGVs that uses this grade 2 listed bridge, it looks likely that some more of the bridge will collapse at some point. As a reminder, pedestrians use this bridge regularly, the canal goes under this bridge and there is regular boat traffic. I will also be passing this onto the local parish council

  • This has been outstanding for far too long. This is a busy road with heavy HGV use. It is very unsafe - slight contact could send the whole wall into the canal. Suggest you pull your fingers out!!!
