Dartnalls Playing Field earth mound

Reported in the Dangerous structure category anonymously at 20:33, Tue 6 May 2014

Sent to Redbridge 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 472248.

A few days before Easter there was a suspicion that travellers' were about to enter the above playing fields so the council dumped piles of dirt on the field and then made mounds over the wooden posts. It is a complete disaster . It is unsightly and I doubt MIT It is effective as if the travelling community did intend to enter the site they only have to move the dirt, probably take one man with one shovel about 10 mins. Further along Chigwell Road the dumper truck that delivered the dirt actually managed to dislodge several wooden posts. The mound is uneven and incomplete. I sincerely hope it will be moved soon as it is unattractive, spoils my view of the green, it a problem for users to get over and has devalued my property. I await hearing a.s.ap. • Still just a mound of earth. Doubt council will finish as they promised. I think the council over reacted to the possibility of travellers arriving and now the local residents opposite have to look at an slightly earth mound all along the field. Arh well that is Redbridge Council !!!!
