Caravan and vehicle road obstructions

Reported via iOS anonymously at 09:39, Thu 22 June 2023

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4703200.

Caravan, resident vans/ vehicle, windows opening into passing traffic and associated rubbish road obstruction in Rosemary lane constant issues with passing vehicles and importantly opposite a children’s play area and school children going and coming from local schools, it’s an accident waiting to happen. The caravan has been here for a number of years after being issued with a notice and Never leaving? There is s caravan injunction on Greenbank view why does this not apply to this area as well? Double Yellow line the road these caravan and lorry dwellers have no idea about safely parking and need to be penalised for the stupidity and obstruction they cause in a children area. Why has this gone on and without any action for so long?

Updates

  • It’s got worst, now constant bottleneck on a school travel road opposite a child park, about time it was sorted the caravans, camper vans and lorries have been causing issue for a very long time… POOR admin from a local authority maybe the desk bound staff need to get out and see the issues during school run times it’s pandemonium at all times of the day

  • Still issues now people parking on both sides of the road it’s a tunnel!! One caravan door opens onto the road (no common sense being applied) and I nearly hit it and the man as there was a van parked opposite and there was nowhere for me to go 1 caravan window opens wide onto the road and is way of Lorries using road to get to local shops. It’s only a matter of time before there is a fatality here also these caravaners and van owners are using the green as a toilet, am I getting confused I thought Park spaces were for public and recreational use and highways were for vehicles. POOR RESPONSE AND NOTHING BEING DONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE ALL OVER BRISTOL YET COUNCIL SPENDING MONEY ON GYPSY TRAVELLER CAMPS??
