Footpath almost unusable due to overgrown weeds

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 09:41, Tue 20 June 2023

Sent to Torbay Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4693367.

The footpath that runs along the end of Douglas Avenue (from Gillard Road down to the coast path) is now almost inaccessible because of the weeds (mainly nettles but also some hedging). I struggled to get down there this morning without stinging myself and I know that the path is often used by residents of the nursing homes many of whom are in wheelchairs. The problem has been getting worse over the last few weeks but if left any longer the footpath will become impassable even for single foot traffic.
