The camber from verge into drive

Reported via desktop in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 18:38, Fri 16 June 2023

Sent to Stockport Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4682152.

The camber from the verge into my drive is very very steep due to past council work. Hav8ng recently moved in this caused over £3k of damage to my car the first time I drove in/out and when I parked on the verge to avoid this problem I recieved a FPN which I am appealing. Please send an engineer to assess the problem

Updates

  • Not heard anything back from Council and the problem persists

  • Still nothing back from council. My local councillor has written to them but he has heard nothing back. The very least a council can do is acknowledge your concerns. Not Stockport Council apparently

  • Still no response from council. Not even an acknowledgment. I suppose that sums up what they think of their residents. Just pay your council tax and shut up. I am speaking to my lawyer.

  • After 4 moths the council eventually visit then inform me it’s not ‘their departments area, it down to Highways’ Back to square one. Stockport Council,. happy to take residents hefty Council tax payments, less happy to solve residents problems. Incredibly bad service and quite disrespectful.
