Very dangerous footparh

Reported via desktop in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 08:46, Thu 15 June 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4675098.

The footpath along the front of my house is totally uneven. At the beginning coming off Nest Lane large tree roots have just been covered over with tarmac. As I have Parkinson’s I find it very difficult to get up this ramp I need to grab the fence on the left to help pull me up. Once on the footpath it is far from flat littered with poor repairs over the years . Slabs and tarmac slant in all directions

  • 1.The perceived risk that it may cause subsidence in the future as you call it is actually is present and imminent, I have contacted the insurer but I as I understand and your email suggest you have legal obligations to inspect the issue raised. Your email also state that you have qualified people that inspects these trees and act when deemed reasonable in 17 years I have been living at these property only once a tree was pruned and was the one far back and the smallest one, as far as your email also stating that we can prune these trees for starters I'm appalled that you even suggest that and you do not take into consideration people limitations. 2. Disrupting pavements, kerbs, garden paths and walls. In these cases, engineering solutions will be sought where possible and these as resident of this town I requested because the slabs in my front door are all loose because of the trees. But instead we treated as delinquent because we live in council estate area.

  • Don’t understand latest update I’m the originator of the complaint. Will Mr Anonymous please stand up and come to talk to me. I can only think of one person that may have lived here 17 years and don’t think they are capable of that post . I first lived in this row of 5 houses in 1970 . If this is the result of a disagreement between the councils ground maintenance and fix my street come and see me at No 35
