Crossing not fit for purpose

Reported via Android in the Road Markings category anonymously at 19:54, Tue 13 June 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4669037.

From the retirement houses in St Mary's Mead etc you can see a lovely stretch of flowery path, steam etc. Can you get there? In no way! The crossing point takes you and dumps you in a bus bay and if you brave that you are trapped in the leisure centre car park. You can't cross any other place because the 20 limit is not observed and the road curves so you don't have a clear sightline. It seems so tantalising to have a lovely path and prioritise cars and driving to such an extent it's very hard to get over there. A zebra crossing a bit further down would make a massive difference and might also calm the traffic.
