Half-finished tree clearance work

Reported in the Trees category by Nick Pumphrey at 13:24, Sat 19 April 2014

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later

There was a willow tree that snapped in high winds a few months back. Within a few days workmen had cleared the tree from the river, but left the branches on the banks and the main snapped trunk swinging dangerously over the bank. Are there plans to finish this job - cut down the hanging trunk and clear the branches from the bank so they won't block the culvert in the next heavy downpour? Thanks.

  • This large branch has split and dropped further. It should be assessed properly and taken down safely, as it is probably weighs several tonnes and doesn't appear to be held up by much. If it falls on anyone it could kill them.
