Would love a new tree planted outside my house.

Reported via desktop in the Tree Planting Request category anonymously at 21:18, Sunday 11 June 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4658516.

We lost a tree recently from a few doors down, as they built a crossover for new driveway.

Lots of space on pavement outside my house for a tree. Would need a new tree pit as well, but perfect location plenty of room and will not hinder access to my driveway whatsoever.

If possible, would love for a silver birch to be planted. There is one other on the street and it is a beautiful tree, so would be great to have another.

Address is 39 Balmoral Avenue, Beckenham BR3 3RD

  • I read the first paragraph of this report with great dismay. The removal of a street tree to accommodate a crossover is unacceptable. It used to be council policy to avoid any impact to street trees when crossovers were put in. Has this changed? If so, when and why?

  • Can confirm the tree pit has been constructed, thank you. Do you have an update on when the tree will be planted?

No tree planted yet, just a reminder would love a silver birch is possible.
