Most of surface of marshfield rd damaged needing replacement now.

Sent to Newport Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4654588.

Almost all along Marshfield RD badly damaged by heavy vehicles-so potholes and broken up surface. Particularly bad in some places eg beside any existing repairs which are now breaking up and coming away along the square road calming areas are even worse. Many cars in area complaining of damage to tyres and underside of cars from bumping hard and creating side to side movement in the car even though very low speed below 20 to 30 miles an hour!! Large lorries except for farming should be banned along this road and its tributaries.. Needs to be fixed all along the road -utilities also leave too small areas of new road which is soon knocked to and damaged

  • Also previously reported several times is the lane OFF Marshfield RD ie CHURCH LANE. each end of lane is bad but it is shocking at the end nearer the Post Office, with large pot holes and holes with puddles. edges all broken some wood and debris around area. Difficult for users with sticks or walkers, or electric mobility scooters, also small children to walk or with bikes or scooters. A very large number of people use Church Lane nowadays for walks to access the farm, or the Church in cars as well- very bad for tyres and slopes badly at sides near the Reens !!. Shortly there is the annual Summer Fete at the Church on Saturday August 5th lots of cars and people children walking and driving there - Needs to be fixed asap..Please ? photo is same as before but more greenery

  • Half of Church Lane is very bad as there are no pavements so elderly walking in the road with many potholes & bad surfaces. Marshfield Road has damage around the many speed bumps.

  • Pretty fed up reporting the Church Lane very poor condition as NO One at Newport CC is taking any notice or is bothering to resolve the pot holes. Doubtless they are waiting for someone to get badly injured before acting in the public interest...

  • No change at all still badly damaged and dangerous especially in bad weather and now the dark as autumn here.
