Please mow verge in Mays Hill Rd jct Shortlands Rd which is an unkempt eyesore. Thick couch is taking over and will be difficult and expensive to restore to good appearance again. Grass is spreading across brick paviors and is collecting rubbish.
(Please don't say this is for wildlife, (no mow may, or no maintence may) it is a budget cut, like potholes, libraries, public toilets, Park rangers, property sales etc.
If LBB cared about wildlife it would not be planning to cut down many mature trees and removing acres of valuable hilltop habitat in Crystal Palace Park for flats and low wildlife value landscaping.)

The neglected verges were an unsightly foot high, but the cutting now omits the obvious collecting and removing of cuttings. No resident would leave their lawn like this. The straw is strewn over the verges, gutters, drains, highway and footway. It is so dense it blocks out light and air to the grass, killing it, it looks awful and as wind and rain move it around, it will go down and block drains causing flooding and more public expense. Please return to collect the dead straw and kindly amend verge cutting procedures to put a collection box on the mower. No doubt this poor practice is more extensive in Mays Hill Rd and Borough wide than these three photos. Is not the borough motto Clean and Green not scruffy and yellow?
