Derelict house in conservation area
Reported anonymously at 19:38, Sun 6 April 2014
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 462895.
6 Harley St does not appear to have been lived in or maintained for at least a year. The vegetation in the garden is growing out of control. As this property is in a conservation area the owner should be compelled to maintain its appearance.

Strictly speaking this is 6 Portland Terrace. The house has not been sold since at least 1995, according to the Land Registry. It was at one time on the market with Cobb Farr and Winkworths.

I have seen a light on in the house recently, so the occupant should be made to maintain its appearance. Tourists walk up and down this street on the way to Lansdown Crescent.

The weeds are now almost up to first floor level! A light can be seen in the house at night, but it may be permanently on.

The huge buddleia has been cut back, but this house is still not up to the standard of the rest of the street.

Urgh! The weeds completely cover the ground floor frontage of the house and block the way to the door now. Why is this tolerated?

Now sold and tidied up, albeit with the loss of much of the front garden to paving. Too little vegetation now rather than too much!
