Emergency gates blocked
Reported via mobile in the Car Parking category anonymously at 13:11, Sat 3 June 2023
Sent to Lewisham Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4626896.
The parking lines and signage are so ineffective that cars have been blocking the emergency access gates for years. This is a health and safety issue - please enforce the parking restrictions.

This continues to be an ongoing issue. I hope Lewisham Council isn’t invalidating its public liability insurance by wilfully failing to resolve this. If these gates remain blocked, any fire or other emergency could be catastrophic.

4 months later this still has not been resolved - shocking negligence by Lewisham Homes. A fire engine or ambulance has no hope of getting to any emergency here.

As of 4 January 2024, these gates are still blocked with cars continuing to park in front of them. Why is resident safety not a priority for Lewisham Homes?
