Thank you for your enquiry. The trees rear of your property are privately owned and protected by law under a tree preservation order. Under common law you are permitted to prune back branches that infringe on your air space but given the trees are subject to a TPO you must first obtain permission by submitting an application with planning, further details can be found from: https://www.bromley.gov.uk/ trees/ tree-protection
