Overgrown grass verges

Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 14:35, Fri 2 June 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4623922.

The grass verges along Fishponds Road are 4ft high as are nearly all grass verges in the Little Billing & Great Billing area. These haven’t been cut for months. Why has the council stopped cutting these? Is this not what we pay council tax for and if you’re going to start reducing the frequency of cutting the grass, I’d like a rebate of part of my council tax. These verges need urgently cutting mostly because when you are pulling out of the roads in a vehicle from Leatherworks Way, Fitzgerald Road, Russett Drive, as an example, onto Fishponds Road, the visibility of oncoming traffic is severely restricted and this is contributing towards a grave safety issue of the highways.
