Abusive parents parking across driveway

Reported via mobile in the Road Marking category anonymously at 10:49, Thursday 1 June 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4618543.

Hi, I live at 54 London Lane. (to left of pictured bit of road) I have been patient over the years with people from the school and weekend activities parking across my drive but recently, this has been happening a lot more and I have been on the end of some abuse when I have politely asked people not to park across my drive in future.

It usually is when people park in the spot pictured which is not big enough for a car. They then hang over my driveway by anything from a little (which means I can’t get in if approaching from the left) to completely. .

I would like to request a double yellow be put on that tiny piece of road to stop people parking there at all. It is not big enough for a car other than a Fiat 500 anyway.

  • This report has been referred to our Traffic Management Team who are responsible for the way traffic is managed on Bromley's roads; including, but not limited to, implementing new road markings and signage in relation to road safety and parking; walking and cycling improvements, including identifying locations for new cycle racks and installing Vehicle Activated speed signs - however, please note that responsibility for enforcing speed limits rests with the Police.

Where requests are made for changes, our Traffic Management Team will consider all requests but often there is a need for a full investigation, planning and consultation within the local area particularly around proposed new traffic schemes, and any considerations must be balanced with borough-wide priorities. This report is now closed on FixMyStreet and our Traffic Management Team will consider this matter.
