Community garden decimated
Reported via desktop in the Shrub Beds category anonymously at 22:23, Wednesday 31 May 2023
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4617271.
Apologies if this isn't you. I have been tending a patch of common ground next to 29 Cowden Road for some years, planting bulbs, annuals and perennials. I have had some nice comments from the neighbours. I was shocked that, as you'll see from the photo, the garden has been raked up - only a few of the larger plants such as the hollyhock and sedum have managed to survive. If you/idVerde have cleared the ground, could you tell me why. Are you planning to put in summer bedding? Are you going to grub up what remains of the garden? The height of the elder & greengage trees certainly need bringing down in the winter, but that's beyond what I can do.

I may not have made it clear that the photo on the left is the current bare earth; the photo on the right of flowers blooming is what the garden had looked like

Haven't heard a peep yet from the appropriate department. I would be very interested to hear from them
