Reopen the underpass!
Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 22:12, Sun 30 March 2014
Sent to Dartford Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 460201.
The foot tunnel under Home Gardens, leading from the county court to Bullace Lane, was closed several weeks ago due to flooding. The closure was reinforced with Heras fencing. The floodwater has long since receded but the fencing remains. Please remove the fencing and the industrial bin, and clean the underpass of debris to provide a pleasant environment. Pedestrians are currently forced to cross Home Gardens which is a very busy, and frankly dangerous, road.

Unbeknown to me when submitting the original report, the underpass sporadically floods during rainfall. This is probably owing to poor drainage! A solution must be found; pedestrians are currently forced to cross the busy and dangerous Home Gardens.

The underpass has now – finally – reopened, but many unaware pedestrians are continuing to use Home Gardens. A closure of some two months must not happen again!
