Sub optimal trafficlighting arrangements

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:06, Thu 25 May 2023

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4594484.

Shiny new camera being fitted today is this a speed camera? A ULEZ camera? A camera to capture traffic that blocks the junction heading broad street and queen road to Stanley or is this to capture images of those jumping the lights from queens road to Stanley (seen many beeps and near misses) and clearly some late swerves or actual hits as the bollards out at least three times on Stanley pedestrian crossing. If this is to catch light jumpers from queens road to Stanley I know (as seen so many and I am a driver) why this is happening and that most people are doing this accidentally. I have a suggestion re a tweak to the sequence that would help and a suggestion that you have a low red on the middle lights. Happy to speak to someone by phone or show them in person.
