We are not sure who is responsible for maintenance of footpaths/bridle ways etc but there is a problem with a section of the Jurassic way between East Carlton and Wilbarston. the narrow short section immediately off Church Lane East Carlton is deep in nettles and virtually impassable. if anyone does manage this there is then a good section through the next two or three paddocks- but then the path through the next two fields and gates is totally overgrown. we have been told that this should have been resolved within 28 days of 24th may but clearly this has not been done. after these two fields it returns to being a lovely walk but I personally suffered ripped clothing and multiple stings through these two fields last week. if this is within your remit we would really appreciate some action. if it is not we would be very grateful if you would pass it on the the relevant department

Investigation: Ongoing (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - The short section immediately off Church Lane is on our the mowing programme, and will therefore be cut back when this takes place. As the other vegetation is a private matter, a letter will be sent asking for a clear line to be made and a job will be raised for the second field to be trimmed and the two gates to be cut back.
Please be assured that you will be updated once we have received confirmation from the land owner.
