Must say, I got a fairly prompt response from my local council...... along the lines of....'this stretch of road is inspected frequently; and at the last inspection was found to be in good condition.'
All I can add is, the Councils' maintenance standards must be pretty low. When cycling on parts of this road, I am, at times forced to ride near the 'crown' of the carriageway
due to the pitted/broken nature of of the nearside surface. This constitutes a serious hazard due to a number of blind bends and speeding motor vehicles using this road.Posted anonymously at 15:42, Fri 25 April 2014

The problem area has not yet been repaired (24 May '14). However to be fair, I have noticed some of the worst damage has recently been marked with yellow paint... which would seem to indicate that the authorities have carried out an inspection of some sort.

Nothing further to report (ref 24th May).
Some desultory patching appears to have been carried out. Hasn't tackled the original problem:
namely 'pitting & break up of wearing course, leading to hazardous conditions for cycling.'Posted anonymously at 19:27, Sat 21 June 2014
