Potholes reported in March have become significantly worse and cars are hitting the exposed metal shuttering adjacent to the potholes. The sharp edges of steel are very dangerous.

Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 18:48, Tue 23 May 2023

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4588385.

Recent updates indicate this is ongoing but the situation is getting worse and in my opinion is very dangerous. I have damaged two wheels and destroyed a tyre.

  • Traffic cones have been placed at the side of the road where the steel is protruding but no attempt fix the potholes. Faced with oncoming traffic you may be faced with the option of hitting the potholes, or the cones and metal as the distance from start to finish of the danger is probably 5 metres!

  • The largest pothole has been repaired but several smaller ones have not and the exposed metal shuttering has not been addressed. Initially several traffic cones were place on the side of the rats by the metal but these have been hit by passing vehicle and are no longer there.
