Knotweed found on council owned land

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 14:03, Mon 22 May 2023

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4582887.

Along the woody verge of a public pathway, indications of invasive knotweeds are clearly visible. Evidently, these persistent plants have been undisturbed for quite some time, as demonstrated by the long, dry, brown canes juxtaposed with fresh, recently emerged shoots. Their unchecked growth is becoming a tangible concern, as they are now extending their reach to the edge of the path. If local council authorities do not promptly intervene, these resilient weeds will approach the neighbouring properties, infiltrating and wreaking havoc in their gardens.
