Overhanging Trees
Reported via desktop in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 10:07, Monday 22 May 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council 1 hour, 40 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 4581443.
A number trees , both public & private are overhang significant parts of Park Hill. This creates a problem for pedestrians. In addition it is a safety issue because a number of trees obscure the street lamps. This makes sections of the road unsafe in terms of risk of tripping. In addition the dark areas of the road are unsafe in terms of risk of being mugged

Despite being recoded as no further action is needed, the reply relates to only one tree, whereas my report referred to trees (ie many trees) in the road. There are more than 6 trees that need pruning in the Southborough Road end of Park Hill. Consequently the matter has not yet been resolved

Wed 24/05/2023 17:24 • Please give brief details of your complaint or compliment below:: Yesterday I used Fix My Street to report problem of overhanging trees (ie many trees) needed cutting back because they are over the pavement and also block out the street lights in my road (Park Hill). I got a rapid reply saying there was no problem , implying that they assessment was related solely to the tree outside my house. The matter was therefore closed. This is wrong. It must be reviewed as it is clear they did not read my note. There are at least 6-8 problem trees, some Council and some stemming from private property. • What action (if any) would you like us to take?: Cut back the offending branches

No action has been taken by the Council to date .The original response said no action needs to be taken re the tree outside my house . I replied stating they had mid read my iniyrequest as it applied to to numerous trees in the road . I realised a complaint nearly a week ago and I have had no response. I will be taking the matter up with my Ward Councillor Colin Smith, if I have no response by the weekend

I have been reporting this problem since May and no action has been taken. There are still a number of public and private trees overhanging the pavements on both sides of the road. They are a risk to personal injury and they restrict the streetlights thereby creating a security risk.
