Lorries parked across cycle route
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 13:54, Mon 24 March 2014
Sent to Reading Borough Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 457946.
2 Large articulated lorries parked across the cycle route that runs alongside the a33 forcing cyclists to come off the cycle path, move onto the road and when cycling south, ride against the traffic flow of a fast dual carigeway.
Lorries have started to park on this small blocked access road recently, it looks like the drivers are sleeping there for a period of time, frequently when they are parked there it is not possible to pass them without manovering dangerously into the road.

This is still an issue, please see the attached photos. This lorry has parked across the ramped section of curb and pedestrians/ cyclists have to pass in front as it is backed right up against the fence, fortunately there is room to do so without moving fully into the carriageway at this time.

Patroling by enforcement officers has improved the situation, however still occurs.

Another trailer blocking the ramps on the shared use path. Is this an unofficial advertisement?
