Speeding Traffic

Reported by Geoff Lee at 17:25, Sun 22 February 2009

Sent to Cheshire County Council and Congleton Borough Council 4 minutes later

The B5308 links the village of Holmes Chapel to the M6 motorway. The speed limit as it passes the entrance to Bessancourt and Westmorland terrace is 30MPH however nearly all traffic seems to exceed this speed. When the motorway is closed due to an accident HGV's use this road as a shortcut to the A50 and again seem to ignore the speed limit. This road needs either regular policing or a permanent fixed speed camera to deter such speeders.
