Sequence is dangerous

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 16:19, Tue 16 May 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4557884.

Customer reported this issue to Worcestershire County Council, WCC reporting to National Highways: what have you done to the timing sequence. The new sequence when exiting the M5 south bound is dangerous and is going to result in a major accident. The lights change to allow exit off the motorway but the lights on the A38 towards Bromsgrove stay on red and do not allow traffic to move before the lights on your right change to green resulting in partial blockage, Then the next change of lights exiting the motorway only stay on green long enough to allow 2 cars to get through. This never used to be the case it's only since recent road works and all the traffic lights on the island where out.
