Traffic Gridlock in Hayes Hill Road and Tiepigs Lane junction

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction to Highway category anonymously at 13:15, Sunday 14 May 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4552212.

Awful levels of traffic and pollution with insulting drivers, cars beeping constantly because they cannot get through the one lane left available to drive on. This is because of the people who are parking for the football club. People are parking both sides of the Tiepigs Lane section before the bridge reducing the roadway to the point where no one can get through. This happens both days every weekend at the moment, for around 4 hours each day. Difficult to leave property due to driveway entrance being blocked by cars backed up. Traffic also gets blocked up Hayes Hill when this happens too.

  • Not sure double yellow lines is a fair solution as this will stop people parking outside their own houses. Think the football club should take responsibility and turn some of their land over to car parking to ease the stress on the highway.
