Public Car Park, Long Furlong Community Centre, Boulter Drive, Abingdon

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 10:59, Mon 17 March 2014 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later

The paving and road either side of the square manhole cover on the lefthand side of the car park entrance has sunk. This has left the manhole cover proud of the road surface and cars are grounding the bottom of their chassis on it, causing damage. This is especially a problem at night (for people arriving at events at the community centre) when the dip and manhole cover are not visible. The paving and tarmac etc need rebuilding to provide a level surface and avoid further damage to cars. It would also help if the whole of entrance to the car park could be made level with the tarmac to eliminate the rise that is being created between the two. These problems have worsened during the recent months of rain.

I am contacting you about this in my capacity of vice-chair of the Long Furlong Comunity Association which has responsibility for running the community centre (but not this adjacent car park).
